The historic Jesus Maria Ranch is located approximately 17 miles South of Hebbronville, Texas and we invite you to come experience a time capsule with uniqueness in every direction. John Houghton Allen wrote a Texas classic novel about life on this ranch around the turn of the century. The old timers talk of standing on the balconies and seeing cattle all the way to the horizon. Also, Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders played Polo on the arena that used to be on the Jesus Maria as well as Pancho Villa on the Wild Horse Desert. The original structures built in the late 1800’s still remain and have been revived by the current owners (“Toby” Toribio Cantu and wife, Alyssa Cantu). The main living quarters is approximately 10,000 sq. ft of historical architecture that has a blend of hacienda and chateau architecture inspired by the original owners’ extensive travels to Europe. The ranchers’ quarters/stables are an additional 4,000 sq. ft of history that takes you back in time as well. Currently the Jesus Maria Ranch operates a small cattle operation and for the first-time welcoming guest hunters to share a true low fence South Texas Hunting experience.
